A couple of years ago I tried to get my oldest to prayer at mealtimes but he wasn't interested so I didn't push. Last week he attended VBS and they challenge the kids to pray at mealtime. He didn't do it last week but tonight at supper he said "I want to do something before we eat." When I asked what he said pray. My heart just melted. His brother (2 1/2) was distracting so Lane struggled through his prayer. I wondered if anyone knows any cute prayers that he could memorize...and keep his brother's attention.
Thanks!

Oh good for him!! Sometimes kids remind us about the important stuff, I love when that happens.
My kids fight over who gets to say "food prayer" - but they just say their own stuff. It's usually the same thing though, and sort of mumbling with my son but I understand a few words.
They always say, "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for today. Thank you for our family. Please let us have a nice food. Please let us have a nice day. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
Not a cute-remember prayer, just cute to me. :)

I have this book of play & prayer called Ark Angels. It has prayers for all day long and it has a cute story:
A Prayer in the Morning Thank you for the world so sweet. Thank you for the friends we meet. Thank you for the birds that sing. Thank you God for everything. Amen
A Prayer for lunch God is great. God is good. Let us thank Him for our food. By his hands we are fed. Give us now our daily bread. Amen
A Prayer at Play All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. Amen
A Prayer for Dinner We fold our hands. We bow our heads. We thank you, God, for daily bread. Amen
A Prayer before Bed Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Hold me safely through the night And wak me with the morning light. Amen
Just a few and you could really use them whenever. So there are some ideas for you! Have fun praying!
