What kind of toothpaste do you use for your little one?

It's so difficult to protect kid's teeth because they have such soft enamel... even if you're super careful and avoid the 'bad' things like sodas and candies... a lot of 'good' stuff like fruits and juices are still highly acidic and can wear down their enamel...

Has anyone's pediatric dentist recommended a toothpaste to use for protecting against acid erosion?

I know Sensodyne just came out with a ProNamel for Children that helps re-strengthen tooth enamel... has anyone heard about or tried it?

your best bet is to protect their teeth via the diet.
www.westonaprice.org is a great place to get information about how to do that.

My dentists (both in VA and in ID) recommend a toothpaste by the Dental Herb Company called tooth and gum paste. I love it and it's pretty much all my family uses.

I avoid all toothpastes that contain flouride (do your research, the flouride in toothpaste is not the naturally occurring kind that may... or may not...provide some protection, but an industrial waste product that does not provide benefit, but actually causes problems). Another ingredient I won't use in a toothpaste is sodium laurel sulfate which is in most toothpastes, including those in health food stores.
